FNC Bets on Sustainability with the New Code of Conduct

Operating under the sustainability standards is more than a requirement, it’s a fact. Thirty percent of Colombian coffee growers, according to the National Coffee growers Federation (FNC), already operate under these rigorous standards.
These workers, who represent 42% of the total areas for coffee production in the country, are following a collection of good economic, social, environmental, and institutional practices to reach a higher level of sustainability for 2017.
However, to comply with the standard of conduct’s indicators, the FNC has to finish rolling out the Colombian Coffee sustainability standard and as such, continue to offer the highest level of quality in each cup.
Among those charged with defining this code are representatives of Buencafé and other entities in the country.
