Pears in Brandy Syrup and Buendia Coffee

Delicious pears slowly cooked in liqueurs that highlight the delicate flavor of Buendía Coffee. An ideal and refreshing dessert. It can also be used as a central preparation at a meeting in the afternoon.

  • 2 pears
  • 2 tablespoons of brandy
  • 2 tablespoons of Irish Coffee Buendia
  • 2 cups of water
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½ cup of mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • ½ cup of sugar

Peel pears, split them in half and remove the core.

Bring to a pot all sugar, water, coffee and brandy. Add the pears and bring to low / medium heat until pears are tender.

For the ice cream:

Whip the cream until is partially whipped (soft spikes)

Soften the mascarpone with sugar and orange juice.

Join both mixtures in an enveloping way, add the zest of an orange.

Take to the freezer seeking to stir at least three times to make it softer.

Optional: For a creamier ice cream you can replace the mascarpone with cream cheese
